Here’s a position-by-position look at how Buffalo’s 53-man roster shapes up and the presumed roles most of these players will fill.

wholesale jerseys from china QB (3) – Tyrod Taylor Jersey Jersey, Nathan Peterman Jersey, T.J. Yates It was largely expected that Buffalo would carry three quarterbacks into the regular season. Taylor and Peterman were locks for the roster. Yates was a small question mark, but being the most experienced quarterback in this offensive scheme makes him valuable in communicating some of the nuances of the offense to Taylor and Peterman.

Wholesale Christopher Reed jersey RB/FB (5) – LeSean McCoy Jersey Jersey, Joe Banyard Jersey, Taiwan Jones, Pat DiMarco, Mike Tolbert Jersey McCoy will be the one to provide the offense with a good deal of versatility from the running back position. DiMarco will be the primary blocking back and help in the pass game. Banyard and Tolbert will provide options as hard-running downhill backs for short yardage and goal line situations. Jones is an added speed threat who can help on special teams.

WR (5) – Jordan Matthews Jersey, Zay Jones Jersey, Andre Holmes Jersey Jersey, Brandon Tate Jersey Jersey, Kaelin Clay Jersey Matthews Jersey is the unquestioned number one option based on his production in the league, and figures to work mainly out of the slot. Jones and Holmes will be the primary outside receivers with Tate and Clay helping as deep threats and as special teamers. Note: Walt Powell Jersey is on the reserve/suspended list serving a four-game suspension.

TE (4) – Charles Clay Jersey Jersey, Nick O’Leary, Logan Thomas Jersey Jersey, Khari Lee Jersey Jersey Clay will be the primary playmaker with O’Leary the first on the field in two tight end sets. CB (5) – Tre’Davious White, Shareece Wright Jersey Jersey Jersey, E.J. Gaines Jersey Jersey, Leonard Johnson, Greg Mabin White starts on one side and we’re likely to find out who will start opposite him on Monday (Wright or Gaines). Johnson is the primary nickel corner. Mabin provides depth.

S (4) – Micah Hyde Jersey Jersey, Jordan Poyer Jersey Jersey, Colt Anderson, Trae Elston Hyde will quarterback the secondary and could draw some coverage roles up on the line at times. Anderson will be a veteran leader on special teams, and Elston will also begin by helping in the kicking game.

Bills part ways with RB Williams, WR Brown, LB Hodges; awarded claims on three players

Cheap Eric Kush jersey The Bills waived a couple of players most thought would stick on the 53-man roster Saturday parting ways with RB Jonathan Williams, WR Philly Brown Jersey and LB Gerald Hodges Jersey to make room for their three waiver claim players. Buffalo continued to tinker with their roster Sunday as they were awarded claims for three players, LB Deon Lacey, TE Khari Lee Jersey Jersey and OT Conor McDermott.

To make room on the roster the Bills made a couple of surprise moves waiving RB Jonathan Williams, WR Philly Brown Jersey and terminating veteran LB Gerald Hodges Jersey.

eric kush black friday jersey

Moving on from Williams was the most unexpected move. The second-year back appeared to have the backup job to LeSean McCoy Jersey Jersey solidified after he averaged 5.8 yards per carry in the preseason rushing for 121 yards on 21 carries.

cheap jerseys authentic Philly Brown Jersey was a free agent signee in the spring, and one familiar to head coach Sean McDermott after they had both spent time together in Carolina with the Panthers organization. Meanwhile Hodges, despite being a late signee in the spring, looked to have the inside track on the backup middle linebacker role locked up behind Preston Brown Jersey Jersey. But all three players were moved off the roster Sunday.

Cheap Eric Kush jersey Buffalo also reached an injury settlement with LB Sam Barrington Jersey releasing him from injured reserve.

Here’s a thumbnail sketch on each of the newest players added to the Bills roster.

LB Deon Lacey (6-3, 235) Undrafted out of West Alabama in 2013, Lacey signed with the Dallas Cowboys Jersey, but did not make the roster. He went to play in the CFL where he starred for the Edmonton Eskimos. In 2016 Lacey racked up 116 tackles, seven sacks and three interceptions, drawing the attention of a half dozen teams as a CFL free agent. Lacey signed with the Dolphins, but was cut on Saturday.

TE Khari Lee Jersey Jersey (6-4, 253) Lee is a former Division II All-American out of Bowie State. He was an undrafted rookie signing of the Houston Texans Jersey (2015). Traded to Chicago just prior to his rookie season, Lee appeared in all 16 games for the Bears, including seven starts, but has just one career reception.

He did not make the Bears roster the following year and was claimed off waivers by the Detroit Lions Jersey, spending half the season on the 53-man roster and half on the practice squad. He was just cut by the Lions on Saturday.

OT Conor McDermott (6-8, 305) A sixth-round pick of the New England Patriots Jersey this past spring, McDermott was the starting left tackle his last two years in college at UCLA, and was invited to the Senior Bowl.

Many pro talent evaluators projected him to right tackle in the NFL. McDermott was part of New England’s final cuts on Saturday.

All seven players came from Buffalo’s previous training camp roster. Wide receivers Brandon Reilly and Daikiel Shorts headlined the list on the offensive side of the ball. Many thought Reilly had a shot at making the 53-man roster, but he and Shorts, who both had pretty consistent preseasons, will develop on the practice squad.

Despite carrying nine defensive linemen on their active roster, Buffalo signed two defensive linemen to their practice squad. Marquavius Lewis and Ian Seau were added to the practice squad.

wholesale jerseys authentic Seau probably did the most to warrant consideration after his two-sack, forced fumble and fumble recovery performance in the team’s last preseason game against Detroit.

Cheap Jonathan Krause jersey With just five cornerbacks on the roster, Buffalo signed undrafted rookie Marcus Sayles, who had been on the team’s roster all offseason. Sayles played a good deal in the slot and would likely be in line for a promotion to the active roster should Leonard Johnson suffer an injury and be out of the lineup for any length of time.

Bills Today: Alexander still fears cut down day

Wholesale Donteea Dye jersey Final cuts still brings a certain level of anxiety for veteran Lorenzo Alexander Jersey. It wasn’t too long ago that he was a bubble player himself. Here’s the Bills news of note for Sept. 3rd.

cyber monday donteea dye jersey

1 – Alexander still fears cut down dayDespite being a leader on the Bills defense, veteran linebacker Lorenzo Alexander Jersey said he’ll never feel comfortable on cut down day. Although he said he was confident this year, as he sat out the fourth preseason game, he said anything was possible. Of course, Alexander wasn’t cut. But, on the John Murphy Show, he said cut down day use to be something he feared.

donteea dye cyber monday jersey

“I can never feel comfortable,” said Alexander. “I was undrafted. I’ve been cut a couple times. I’ve been a bubble guy. So, I’ll always carry that with me. No matter how good my situation may seem, in this league you can never get complacent.”

cheap sports jerseys Alexander fears cut down day because he’s experienced being released in the past. The 11th-year journeyman bounced around the NFL for years. Alexander started his career in Baltimore, where he lasted only a couple days before he was released. He landed in Washington, where he carved out a special teams role. After playing for the Redskins for seven season, he moved to Arizona, where his special team prowess was wanted. Alexander spent two seasons in Arizona before moving on to Oakland.

Wholesale Donteea Dye jersey For each team he played for, Alexander was a key special teams player. Although a valuable role, he wasn’t being used on defense. This meant that every cut down day was filled with fear that a team would release him because a younger player could fill more roles. When he signed with the Bills last season, he was finally given a chance to shine on defense. And shine he did. Alexander ended the season with 12.5 sacks, and a pro-bowl nod – all while still playing special teams.

As Alexander stated, for one of the first times in his career, as cut down day came and went, he didn’t feel too nervous. For a player that started as an undrafted free agent that had to fight every year to stay on a team, his role on the Bills defense is unbelievable, but a testament to how hard he works.

“If you feel like you’ve arrived, and you’ve made – like I’m all good, I’m a Pro Bowler – that’s when a younger guy takes your job,” said Alexander. “So, I’m always going to continue to grind no matter how well I’m doing on the field statistically.”

2 – Beane says releasing players is toughFor general manager Brandon Beane, cut down day is a double-edged sword. In one sense, the cuts the Bills made are all in an effort to improve their team, and bolster their roster. But, on the other side of those cuts are men who are losing their jobs, and possibly a chance at fulfilling their NFL dream. On the John Murphy Show, Beane talked about the tough paradoxical nature of cut down day.

“This is the hardest week of the season,” said Beane. “A lot of guys have laid it on the line ever since they were drafted or signed. They’ve done everything the right way. Even the guys we released earlier in the week. These are men fighting for the opportunity to play in the NFL. We know what a prestigious honor that is. We don’t take this lightly.”

Beane said that they simply try to be honest with players. Instead of releasing a player outright, they often tell him the reasoning behind the decision. Beane said they will tell them to work on a weakness so they have a better chance of catching on with another team, or possibly even the Bills in the future. However, in some cases, they have to tell a player that they simply aren’t meant to play in the NFL.

Beane said, at the end of the day, cuts don’t only come down to talent. A team needs to be built on players with character, who compete and work harder than everyone else. Beane said that to build a winning team, a balance must be struck.

“You have to be careful when you put together a team,” said Beane. “Don’t just draft talent because if they don’t have everything that goes into making a team – the hard working, the character. Sean uses it and I like, ‘chin above the bar.’ It’s perfect. When you look at the good teams, it isn’t always the team with the most talent, or pro-bowlers, it’s the team that is playing the hardest, and working together.”

Some of the cuts may have been surprising, but they were all reasoned and geared towards building a winning team. As Beane said, cut down day is tough – every player that’s released is losing their job, and that isn’t something to take lightly.

3 – Miller impresses against LionsEntering the final preseason game, third-year guard John Miller Jersey Jersey found himself entrenched in a battle with eighth-year veteran Vlad Ducasse. Throughout preseason, Miller and Ducasse have alternated series, as neither player seems to have the upper hand in the battle. However, according to ProFootball Focus, Miller’s performance against the Lions could have pushed him into the lead.

Miller was the anchor of a solid offensive line performance. He posted the highest blocking grades of the starting unit and recorded a perfect pass-blocking efficiency (100.0).

The battle at right guard has largely been predicated on the Bills new zone blocking scheme. Vlad Ducasse entered camp with some familiarity with offensive line coach Juan Castillo, and seemed to pick up the blocking scheme rather quickly. Despite Miller starting all 16 games last season, he hasn’t adjusted to the new system as fast.

Although Miller may lose the battle to Ducasse, his performance against the Lions was certainly a step in the right direction. If Miller can find his play from last season, he won’t only be a starter on the offensive line, but a big factor in the Bills rushing attack.

Bills trade Seymour to Panthers for WR Clay and a pick

Clay, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jersey (2015), but did not make their final roster. He spent most of the 2015 season on the Detroit Lions Jersey practice squad, but in November that season he was signed off the Lions practice squad by the Baltimore Ravens Jersey.

wholesale sports jerseys Clay appeared in two games and had an 82-yard punt return for a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns Jersey on Monday Night Football. The wide receiver/return specialist remained with the Ravens through the 2016 offseason, but was placed on injured reserve in August.

The 5-10, 195-pound receiver has 4.45 speed and was a First-Team All-American in his only season at Utah (2014) when he scored 16 touchdowns.

Seymour, a sixth-round pick of the Bills last year, lost out in a big for the starting cornerback job opposite rookie Tre’Davious White following the team’s trade of Ronald Darby Jersey Jersey. He also lost out in the battle for the starting nickel corner role to Leonard Johnson.

Bills move 30 off the roster to reach 53

Wholesale Ryan Jensen jersey The Bills had a few special player designations to get the roster down to the required 53 by the league deadline of 4 pm Saturday. The Bills released a handful of players earlier in the week, but still had to undergo the task of moving 30 more players off their roster by 4 pm Saturday. Buffalo didn’t have many surprise cuts as they got their roster to the required 53.

Two players were moved off the roster via injury settlements with the Bills. The most notable was Rod Streater Jersey Jersey, who was arguably the most consistent receiver in training camp. He sustained a dislocated toe in the preseason game against Philadelphia and had not been able to practice since.

The excited youngsters were also able to spend time running around with Hyde and some of his Bills teammates, including Jordan Poyer Jersey Jersey, Preston Brown Jersey Jersey and Kevon Seymour.

The last stop on a packed day off was at Atwal Eye Care with Bills CB Kevon Seymour. After receiving LASIK Eye Surgery last year at Atwal Eye Care, Seymour understands the importance of seeing clearly – especially while in school. Seymour joined 20 children from the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, as they received free exams and corrective eyewear, if needed. The kids ended the day with autographs and pictures with Seymour and special guest, Billy Buffalo.

In the Bills versus Ravens preseason game, Bills DE Max Valles Jersey competed against his college teammate, Ravens RB Tanquan Mizzell. On the field, the two were strictly business, competing to win. Bills Today: Jones and White projected for All-Rookie team

Cheap Brandon Bostick jersey Buffalo’s top two draft choices were projected to appear on an All-Rookie team come season’s end. Here’s the Bills news of note for Sept. 2nd.

black friday brandon bostick jersey

1 – Jones and White projected for All-Rookie team As the regular season approaches, two Bills’ rookies have been tabbed as possible All-Rookie team candidates. Mel Kiper, of ESPN, picked Zay Jones Jersey and Tre’Davious White to the team. Kiper stated he based his projected team not only on talent, but on opportunity. Here’s his full breakdown.

brandon bostick black friday jersey

Kiper picked two wide receivers to his all-rookie team. One is the Bills second-round pick Jones.

cheap jerseys from china I really liked this pick in Round 2, and with Sammy Watkins Jersey Jersey off to the Rams, Jones might be the Bills’ No. 1 wide receiver. Yes, seriously. His eight targets at Baltimore in the third preseason game led the team. Now, I don’t think the Buffalo passing offense is going to light the league on fire, but Jones is going to get chances. And that’s all he needs; he set an FBS single-season record with 158 catches at East Carolina in 2016.

Cheap Brandon Bostick jersey Jones certainly has the potential to break out this season. Not only does he have talent, but he has a major opportunity in Buffalo. As Kiper stated, Jones isn’t unaccustomed to being the main threat on an offense. During his senior year at East Carolina, he received a high volume of throws. He turned those targets in record-breaking production. In the same position on the Bills offense, he could impress again.

Kiper also picked two cornerbacks to the team, one being the Bills first-round pick White. White became Buffalo’s No. 1 corner after Ronald Darby Jersey Jersey was traded to the Eagles. That’s what Buffalo thinks of its top pick. My fifth-ranked corner, White was a four-year starter at LSU who had six career interceptions.

Much like Jones, White is going to have an opportunity to play a lot this season. Starting at outside corner, White will play against the opponent’s best receiver every week. As he’s shown in preseason, he’s a smart corner who uses his athleticism to make plays on the ball. Pressed into a leading role on the Bills defense, White could prove to be the best corner in his draft class.

2 – McDermott’s unique workout regimen Coach Sean McDermott’s exercise regimen is rather unique. The first-time head coach is a big proponent of MMA training. McDermott said he started practicing MMA and cross-training a couple years ago. He said his workout routine does more than keep him in shape – it teaches him discipline and makes him a better coach. Kevin Clark, of the Ringer, asked McDermott what a regular workout is like for him.

I like to train, said McDermott. Sometimes you get low on sleep and need a little bit of recovery, but I just feel better when I train. I try and do weights a couple times a week. I’d like to do them more, but then I try to do some distance running, and a little bit of yoga or some MMA just to cross-train every once in a while.

McDermott said that above all, he works out to reinforce discipline in his life. As he has preached many times during the offseason, if the Bills are going to be successful, they must learn how to work harder than any other team in the NFL. McDermott has shown that the best way to teach that virtue to his team is to practice it himself.

I think it helps you in life, said McDermott. We had Jordan Burroughs, who’s an Olympic gold medalist, [come to speak to the team] and he’s over representing the USA right now in the World Championships, so he and I were just sharing life—getting life skills from wrestling. [With wrestling] there’s no one to blame but yourself, for the most part. It’s all about preparation, work ethic, dedication, adversity, grit, so those are things that come up in everyday life.

3 – Peterman ends preseason on a high With Tyrod Taylor Jersey Jersey still battling through a concussion, rookie quarterback Nathan Peterman Jersey was given the start in the final preseason game. In a quarter of action, Peterman turned in his best performance as a Bill. Despite playing well, Peterman said he thinks he could have been better in the preseason.

“Just when I go look back at plays,” said Peterman. “I could have done better. I think I left a little bit out there in the earlier games and obviously tonight. That pass back there probably could have went for a touchdown. Things I know I was working on is a lot of motivation for me going forward.

For a rookie quarterback, preseason couldn’t have gone much better for Peterman. His play in the first preseason game earned him second-team reps. He continued to show progress in each game, as he saw increasingly longer playing time.

Kevin Patra, of, said the Bills front office should feel very comfortable with Peterman as the back-up quarterback this season.

The Bills employed a bevy of three-step drops with Peterman in (likely to help keep him healthy). The rookie quarterback displayed good pocket presence, got the ball out quickly, showed good accuracy and timing with receivers.

Peterman ended the night with nine completions on 11 attempts for 81 yards, and a touchdown. In a quarter of playing time, he led the offense down the field and into the red zone several times. These drives ended in a field goal, and a Jonathan Williams touchdown run.

As the regular season approaches, Peterman will assume the back-up role to Taylor. But, the Bills front office will feel contented knowing that they have a reliable back-up if Taylor should happen to miss playing time.

On the eve of his retirement, Bills exec reflects on his 44-year career

Wholesale Emmanuel Sanders jersey After 44 years, Bills VP of Government Relations & External Affairs, Bills Munson is calling it a career. The longest tenured NFL employee with one team, Munson has left a mark on the Bills organization and entire NFL.

If you asked Bill Munson, Bills VP of Government Relations & External Affairs, to describe himself in a few words, he would tell you that he’s loyal, dedicated, trustworthy and honest – and after spending 44 years with the Bills, everyone that knows him would agree. Throughout his tenure with the team, Munson has held nine different roles, seen 889 Bills games live, driven over 1,000,000 miles to and from One Bills Drive and built relationships with 1,122 Bills all-time roster players and 227 all-time roster coaches. After a remarkable career, Munson is ready to embark on the next chapter in his life and will officially retire on Friday, Sept. 1.

emmanuel sanders cyber monday jersey

The longest tenured NFL employee with one team, Munson has cherished every single moment of his time spent with the Bills. The epitome of hard work and perseverance, Munson’s story has and will continue to inspire those around him. When he was a graduate student at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) in the early 70s, he could never have imagined that’d he’d meet someone who would alter his life forever – Coach Dick MacPherson.

wholesale jerseys from china After crossing paths in the UMass gymnasium, MacPherson, who was the head football coach at the time, stopped and introduced himself.

Wholesale Emmanuel Sanders jersey “We got to know each other,” said Munson. “I’d stop in and have a coffee with him after working out and he asked me about my plans afterwards. I was accepted for my PhD in Sports Psychology at the University of Edmonton in Alberta and I was accepted at UMass for my PhD. I might get my doctorate and stay in teaching [he explained to MacPherson], but I have to do an internship.”

Despite internship offers at both the Boston Celtics and New York Yankees, Munson found himself at a crossroads in his life. A Buffalo native, he wanted to head back to Western New York to spend time with his father who was dying from cancer. After explaining his situation, MacPherson took action.

“He goes, ‘Well let me make a call.’”

Munson listened as MacPherson told him about his relationship with Lou Saban – Buffalo’s head coach at the time. Having coached with Saban in Denver, MacPherson was able to get Munson an interview with Bills General Manager Bob Lustig.

“I was accepted… in February, 1973,” said Munson as he reflected on the moment. “I was accepted for an internship in May of that year. So I came in and they put me in a trailer. This stadium wasn’t completed yet. They had a hole in the ground and some concrete. The GM said, ‘Well we’re going to put you here because we’re transferring Season Ticket Members from the old Rock Pile to the new stadium…So you’re going to have to walk through the mud with a hard hat and show them what our stadium is going to look like.’”

A task that some would shy away from, Munson fully embraced. After about three months of work, he made quite an impression and satisfied fans began to write letters to Bills Founding Owner Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. to share their positive experience. Intrigued by what he was reading, Wilson requested a meeting with Munson. Before he knew it, Munson was on a plane to Detroit.

“[Mr. Wilson] said, ‘What are your plans?’ and I said, “I’m going to go for my doctorate degree,” said Munson. “He said, ‘I’ll tell you what, I will make you assistant to the GM, you will handle all of my compensation, payables, receivables, you’ll sell advertising, you’ll oversee the ticket office and…I’ll pay you $10,000 a year…’ That was my start to 42 great years with Mr. Wilson and two under the Pegulas, said Munson. For a total of 44. It was a wonderful relationship. That was how it all started. “

Despite other job opportunities along the way, Munson always remained true to the Bills. His admiration for Mr. Wilson and the great people within the organization were enough to make him stay. From his first position as an Administrative Assistant, to his last as VP of Government Relations & External Affairs, Munson made a significant impact on the lives of those around him.

Over four decades he created countless memories. Some of his highlights include the stadium completion in Orchard Park in 1973, 110 victories in the 90s, trips to four Super Bowls, the 50th Anniversary team and witnessing each of Buffalo’s Hall of Fame inductions.

What’s next for a man that has already accomplished so much?

“There’s a time for everything,” said Munson. “There’s a time for me to come and time for me to leave and it’s a great time for me to leave. I hope I’ve given more than I’ve taken…and really in my heart, I hope I’ve made a difference in people’s lives because people are great. Our fans have been great.”

Stepping onto New Era Field On Thursday, Aug. 31, one more time, Munson stood proudly waving the Bills flag as the Leader of the Charge. A true leader and great friend, Munson will always have a home with the Buffalo Bills Jersey.

Cheers to an unforgettable career!

Bills Today: Evaluation process for final cuts

Cheap Jalen Collins jersey The Bills front office is now in the final phase of the player evaluation process. GM Brandon Beane shed some light on how it all comes together at the end. Here’s the Bills news of note for Sept. 1st.

1 – Evaluation process for final cutsWith the deadline to cut the roster to 53 looming at 4 pm on Saturday, the evaluation process by general manager Brandon Beane and the Bills coaching staff is in its final phase. As the Bills close out the preseason with a 27-17 win against the Lions, a tough two days of evaluations begin for the Bills. On the John Murphy Show, Beane said the process is rather arduous.

jalen collins black friday jersey

“We’ll digest what happens in the game,” said Beane. “We’ll come in [Friday], medically see where everyone is first. And then, get all the guys in. Break down the film. The next thing we’ll do is meet with the personnel guys, position by position, how they see it. And then we’ll come back, circle up with Sean, and the executive staff. We’ll talk about what we heard, what we didn’t hear, and then we’ll circle back with at least the coordinators…We’ll do that all day [Friday].”

cheap jerseys authentic In the best of circumstances, the final 53-man roster will be finalized Friday night. As Beane said, the process can be held up. If a position coach, or coordinator feels strongly about a certain player, they could sleep on the decision, and start early the next day.

Cheap Jalen Collins jersey “Sometimes we may see the skill of a guy, but they may say, I’ve been around this guy,” said Beane. “Or, I know through practice that he’s going to endure more, or he’s going to get better, he’s not quite there, but I think his ceiling is higher. He’s going to argue things, but then it’s my job and Sean jobs to listen, and then make the best decision.”

After making several tough decisions, in which Beane says they try to be as honest with players as possible, the team will then have to scour the cuts of other teams. This season there is only one cut down day, meaning the front office will have to be extra diligent in evaluating potential players to sign.

Beane said with the help of the PR department, they’ll be active in monitoring the cuts of other teams.

“The PR staff, they’re going to help us,” said Beane. “They’re going to be following Twitter, all the feeds out there, and everything that’s going on. Agents release stuff, teams release stuff, players release stuff…so, we’ll need the guys, the PR staff, they’re going to be big in helping us figure out who’s out there.”

Although the day will be hectic, Beane said he likes one cut down day better than two, as the NFL has done in the past. Beane ended by saying that simply because a player was cut doesn’t mean they didn’t tell him to work on specific weaknesses. The cut player may be able to catch on with another team, or the Bills may try to sign him back later in the season.

2 – Milano and Elston excel in final preseason gameAlthough the defense had a rather impressive game against the Lions, two players shined above the rest. Rookie linebacker Matt Milano and second-year safety Trae Elston had particularly impressive games. Milano, the Bills fifth-round pick in 2017, was drafted largely because of his athleticism. Having seen time at safety in college, Milano is a rangy linebacker that excels in coverage. His talent was on full-display against the Lions, as he ended the night with three tackles, and a pass break-up. Milano said he was happy with how he ended the preseason, and is looking forward to the upcoming year.

“I was excited,” said Milano. “But, I missed a few assignments as well. So, those are creeping up on me still. I made some good plays, but I also didn’t do things as well as I should have. Wherever they need me, I’ll be here every day ready to go.”

Elston was claimed off waivers by the Bills in April, after spending last season with the Cleveland Browns Jersey. The safety ended the night with possibly the most impressive stat line of any Bill on defense, as he totaled four tackles, one of which forced a fumble.

The hard-hitting nature of the safety made his play especially noticeable, and contributed to the turnover he forced. Elston, who entered camp in a battle to make the team, wouldn’t say he thinks he’s cemented his spot on the final roster.

“I was just trying to do my job,” said Elston. “And execute the plays. But, you never know until they call your name, you don’t know if they’re going to cut you or release you. I won’t know until they call me. I am confident though. I always think the positive things, but you know how this business is, so you never know.”

As final cut down day looms, both Milano and Elston proved that they haven’t only earned a roster spot, but could be key depth players for the Bills this season.

3 – Banyard impressed against the LionsWith LeSean McCoy Jersey Jersey and Mike Tolbert Jersey resting, running backs Joe Banyard Jersey and Jonathan Williams carried the load for the Bills offensively. Banyard, a fifth-year running back, entered the game firmly in a battle to make the roster. Although he’s third on the running back depth chart, Mike Tolbert Jersey had been used ahead of him at running back consistently throughout the preseason.

With a solid performance needed to cement his spot on the roster, Banyard turned his increased playing time into his best performance of the preseason. Banyard said he thought he played well.

“Nothing’s guaranteed,” said Banyard. “So, I definitely wanted to put something on film, just to make sure I’d be reliable to anyone around the league. I definitely want to be on this team. So, anything I can do, I just want to do that.”

Banyard ended the game with 14 carries for 68 yards, and a touchdown. His longest run of the night was for 40-yards, as he set up the offense in the red zone. He later ended that drive with a hard-earned one yard touchdown run.

As cuts are made, Banyard could find himself as the third running back on the Bills 53-man roster not only because of his performance in the final preseason game, but his entire body of work. Banyard has run with authority and his straight ahead, downhill style works in this offensive scheme.
